Compassion defined

Compassion according to dictionary.com –noun 1. a feeling of deep sympathy and sorrow for another who is stricken by misfortune, accompanied by a strong desire to alleviate the suffering

Something I said in a comment the other day to a friend that I can’t shake the need to share with others:

I think what is best to do in these times is praise God in all things but allow our broken hearts to move us with compassion to help these torn communities & love the hurting & help them however we can. Whether its kind words, gestures, labor, money, or prayers…let us allow our compassion to drive us to act in love…

This is a call to act…to love…to serve. Do something, anything to help the broken & needing around you. Now is the time to move.
