About the Author

I’m a simple girl who has a big heart. I love my family & I love Jesus. I’m beyond thankful for His grace & mercy in my life. I have a dream to be a writer, that’s where this blog comes in. I love to share joy. I love to encourage people, and help them to see the good in their circumstances. To remind them of God’s faithfulness and love. And I love to write. A perfect mix for a blog, eh?!?

But, I too, have struggles. Like everyone, I have battles and frustrations that I face daily. I have places in my life and heart that I want to improve. Things about life that I want to understand better. And…well…if I want to be able to encourage or inspire others, then I will have to be honest. That’s what “The Gathering” is about. It’s a place to share my heart, my joy, and even my difficulties. I also want to share some of my struggles with the hope that if there’s anyone out there that feels alone in these struggles – please know that you’re not. And please know your struggles do not define you. Your joy comes from the Lord – not your circumstances.

Feel free to comment your thoughts and prayer needs.

I pray that you are encouraged in some way.

In Christ,

Amy

I feel like I am alone.. I have struggles and battles daily. I pray and I pray but I am not sure when God is talking to me or if it is my own conscious mind.

Oh sweet Tiffany, I know those feelings all too well. Even the strongest believer has battles and struggles, even the disciples did. We are guaranteed that we will still face difficulty here because we live in a broken world, BUT! The good news is that having a relationship with Jesus allows us to have peace today. Not just get us to heaven, but to know His peace and comfort in our lives. Here’s a great link to some great resources on discerning God’s voice by the great and humble Billy Graham:https://billygraham.org/story/3-resources-to-help-you-hear-from-god-more-clearly/

I read my first article at The Gathering. Enjoyed it very much! Your writing is very clear and concise yet still warm and personable. The whole blog looks very profesional but the written words make it seem like a letter from a close friend. Great work and even greater message!
